+Can I bring my printed dissertation for binding?

Yes. We are located in Barking, The Movements House, Unit 2, 1st Floor, Hetford Road Barking, London.
Although you can post your printed copies for binding only option. Please contact us for further information.


+What type of documents can I upload to iDissertation?

You can only upload PDF files.If you need to convert any Microsoft Office file into a PDF, please see the Create PDF page for more information. Files can be either portrait or landscape in orientation, and up to 500MB.


+Can I get my Binded Copies in the same day?

Yes. Although you need to come and collect it from our office in Barking
There is no extra charge for this.


+I am able to upload my document but am directed to a page saying 'Unable to process this document'. What do I do?

If you can upload your document but are not being directed to a page where you can select the binding and printing options, then it is possible that it's a browser or session issue. As a first resort, please try clearing the cache or browser history, or reboot your computer. If you still experience any problems, then please contact us.


+I am having problems uploading my file - is there a limit on file size?

Yes, we do have a limit of 500MB. However, on occasion you may experience problems uploading files that are smaller than this if your internet connection is either slow or slightly intermittent. In this case (or if your file is larger than 500MB) please contact us and we shall provide you with an alternative method of transferring your files to iDissertation.


+How do I order from iDissertation on my mobile device?

i Dissertation is compatible with iOS, Android and other mobile devices. You can use your phone's file manager or iCloud to upload files, as well as file storage apps including Dropbox, Google Drive and Microsoft One Drive. You can upload documents from any number of these locations when placing your order.The file types you can upload are the same as on the desktop website: PDF only.


+I have a Microsoft Office document that I would like to convert to a PDF. How do I do this?

If you have the 2007 or later editions of Microsoft Office you will have the option of saving your completed Word document, PowerPoint presentation or Excel spreadsheet as a PDF file drop down menu. Just click on 'File' and 'Save As', and select PDF from file type. If you have an older version of Microsoft Office this option may not be available, although you may have the option to click 'File' and 'Export' to create a PDF file. Alternatively, although the Adobe Acrobat program is not free of charge, there are several free PDF converters available on the internet.

+I have converted my document into a PDF but it's not uploading correctly. What do I do?

Sometimes if you save your Word, Powerpoint or Excel document as a PDF it may become corrupted. If you experience this problem, please try to convert the file again. If an error still occurs, then please contact us for further help.


+How do I create a book cover using the Cover Designer? I am having problems using the Cover Designer as the content is not displaying correctly. What do I do?

We recommend preparing in advance one PDF file: with your front cover (at the size you wish your book to be, without 'bleed' or crop/trim marks).You should upload the PDF with the inside pages of your book during the ordering process as normal, and then add your front cover when you arrive at the Cover Designer. You can also create a spine for your book using this tool. If you are not sure please fell free to contact us.


+What are the hole-punching options for Wire Binding?

For A5 and A4 ring binders, you can upload a portrait or landscape document and choose to bind it on the long or short edge. This gives four options; portrait document bound at the left (long edge - pages turn from the right) or bound at the top (short edge - pages turn from the bottom); landscape document bound at the left (short edge - pages turn from the right) or bound at the top (long edge - pages turn from the bottom).


+Why can't I upload my file?

This could be to do with file size, uploading multiple files, your internet connection or your browser.The maximum size files we can accept is 500MB. If your file is bigger than 500MB please leave us a message and we will find a way to help you.

+What is Hard and Soft binding?

Hard binding is a good quality rigid binding usually required for the final submission of your thesis.Pages are securely bound in for durability and have a rigid cover. They are covered in a library Buckram or Magesta book cloth which comes in a range of colours to suit any university specification.Our hard bindings are also lettered on the spine and/or the front cover in gold or silver foil. 

Soft binding is glue binding generally required for the first submission of your thesis. Soft bindings are cut flush all around and have enough rigidity to stand on a book shelf. Pages are secured with thermal glue for flexibility and strength and then covered in a library Buckram book cloth which comes in a range of colours to suit any university requirement. Our soft binding includes gold or silver lettering to the spine.

+Do you do edge to edge Printing?

If you mean you would like your documents to have a colour or image going right up to the edge of the page with no ugly or annoying white margin then the simple answer is yes, of course!
In order to achieve this, when providing us with your document we need it to have what are Called ‘bleed‘ and ‘crop marks‘.


+How do I add bleed to my document?

+What are your minimum production and delivery times?

We offer a 'Same day production' option, which means that we will process and produce your order on the same day if we receive it before 1pm.If your order is placed before 1pm you can collect it from us within 2 hours or you can choose to have it delivered the next day for free.

+What is your standard order production time?

+Do you process orders during public holidays and weekends?

We only process orders on weekdays, not at weekends or on public holidays. So if you place your order on a Saturday it will be processed on the following Monday. Please Contact us if your deadline is approaching on Monday


+What are your Christmas operating hours?

You can place an order on the website throughout the Christmas and New Year period. We cannot produce, despatch or deliver orders on 25th/26th December and 1st January (plus substitute bank holidays in years when Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day fall on a weekend). So if you place an order on a bank holiday it will be processed the next working day.


+What is the best processing and delivey combination for a next day delivery?

Order before 1pm and choose Next Day Delivery at checkout.


+How do I pay with a debit or credit card?

iDissertation does not save any card information locally. The payment process is controlled securely by WoldPay Payment Gateway.

+How quickly can I get my dissertation?

All orders placed before 1pm will be delivered within 24 hours. However orders placed on a Saturday before 1pm will be delivered on Monday


+Can I get a refund, once I've paid?

Unfortunately, once your order is processed, we do not issue refunds.

However if you have submitted an incorrect PDF file or you would like to change the details of an order that has not been processed, please call us and we will try to amend this at no extra cost.(Please note that there may be an extra cost if you require something additional that was not covered in the price you have already paid).
